Congrats Hollie!! This is the first day (post op day 4) that I'm feeling a little morelos myself. I was having issues taking any liquid in at the hospital so they kept me an extra night so I didn't come home until yesterday afternoon. The gas is absolutely the worst but they said just walk as much as possible and it will help. One good thing is that I've lost almost 6 lbs since surgery day but its probably bc I wasn't taking anything in except liquids in am IV.

GLAD YOU ARE FEELING BETTER! 6 weeks (heck probably 6 days) from now, we will have forgotten the bad and be focusing on the amazing progress we are making towards being the best version of ourselves we can be.

Gas-ex strips worked fine when I had my band surgery and of course, walking. I hope this works with my VSG surgery too! Glad you are doing so good!

Welcome to this side of the adventure. Hope the gas resolves quickly. Like Meggie said, get some good rest and don't over do it. You will be feeling well very quickly and it will be easy to over estimate your energy levels. But no worries, you will do great!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
