Hi! I am scheduled for my VSG with Dr. Vadim Gritsus at Valley Hospital on 8/3. He and his office staff have been just fantastic!! I saw him last year too but I wasn't ready.

Two years ago I saw a Dr. B. at Hackensack and I was NOT impressed. Experienced but horrible attitude - "Don't come back until you know which surgery you want to have"! I was like, no, I'm just not coming back... VSG wasn't an option with him so I'm glad I waited!!

Dr. Gritsus has answered every single question of mine with patience and respect. His staff is polite and their goal is to make the process as smooth as possible. They will refer you to a psych and nutritionist if you don't have your own, and they are on the ball as far as working with insurance to get preapproval.

I just joined so I don't know if you've posted since this - where are you at in the process now?

Good luck!

I am in NJ and I just had my sleeve done on 8/6/12 with Dr. Trivedi at Hackensack Hospital. Feel free to ask me/inbox me any questions. I am VERY happy with my decision.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
