Woot on the peach fuzzzz Eileen! Soon you'll be tossing your thick mane of hair around just like the gal on the Breck Shampoo ads. ;)

I went and calculated the correct caloric intake for a weight loss of 2 lbs per week with my current level of activity. THe total came to 2,390. Wowza. Apparently if I just want to maintain I could eat 3,390 calories per day. I guess that puts a whole new spin on how much I was taking in to gain!!!! YIKES. Anyhoo... I think I will probably keep it in the range of 1800 and know that I could possibly have more on occaision without throwing the weight-loss out of the window for the week. :D

My personal challenge will be to reach 195 by Christmas. Onederland or bust!

If I ate over 2,000 I would gain weight... that -500 calories bit is (IMHO) not right. I have to go as low as 1600 - 1800 at 300 lbs to lose weight. I'm 214 now... I have to stick around 1400 to lose slowly or forgetaboudit.

I think 1800 is a good place for you to start Darcy... its smart and healthy.

When shall we start ??

Well... I've been counting today... so I guess there is no time like the present? I think Cindy's idea for something different to work on each week in addition would be good too. I'm going to post my daily caloric intake...good or bad.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
