Goofyspice needs your prayers and well wishes

Recommended Posts

I will try to keep this short but I need your well wishes and prayers.

I went to my follow up appointment and complained of pain and not being able to breathe. Surgeon wanted me to come back next day for ct scan but i asked to be able to go to the hospital down the street for that (versus another 2.5 hr drive). So I go in first thing Friday and... well here I was afraid of having Pneumonia when I actually had a pocket of "something" above my liver among other little things. They spoke w/ my Surgeon and then put in a drain. They took out 100 cc's then and since then its been a total of 205cc's and counting... I feel like Iron man with a huge piece of equipment in my upper torso. They were going to grow a culture over the weekend to see whats going on. I had white blood cells but no "bacteria". So my body was/ is working hard to kick something's ass.

Pray this is a speed bump only and that I will be back on regular healing course soon!!! Thanks Everyone.

Hi GoofySpice, thanks for checking in though it's not all good news. However, it sounds like you are getting the medical attention you need - so glad to hear that. I'm also glad to know you acted once you felt something wasn't right.

Wishing you a speedy and full recovery sooner rather than later. Blessing & Hugs!!

Prayers for you and best wishes on a speedy recovery. I had abscesses in my abdomen and pelvic cavity after my revision. I had drains placed, and had lots of antibiotics that helped resolve them 100%. It is painful and uncomfortable with the drains, and I hope you feel better soon.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
