Have you been to your dr in the last 6 months? I know mine always documents my weight. I had a few months where I didn't go before I got to looking in to the sleeve so I had to start fresh with 6 months - I go to my 3rd one Monday. Several people have said if you go late the first month and early the last month that is acceptable and you basically only go about 4 1/2 months. Hang in there - it will go fast. I clarified with my insurance and they said it has to be documented by a Dr and weight watchers didn't count.

Sorry having technical issues! Anyway, the surgeon I used would do the supervised diet for insurance requirements. They told me most INS requires now, some are 3 mos some are 6. If you want to have INS pay then you will have to follow their rules. Some people go self pay and don't worry about what INS requires. But you could still run into your surgeon requiring you to do a Pre op diet. Good luck

Sorry your down, Im sure its not what you wanted to hear, but the good thing is it doesnt mean you cant have it.. Get the list of what you need to do to be approved for the surgery.. While your doing your 6 months, See if you need support group visits or physcologist, nutritionist and all other appts.. My Dr. Office was great and and as soon I was cleared from everyone , they sent it all to the insurance company and booked the date, and I didnt have to wait longfor a date which was nice.. It does go by fast.. Just have them tell you everything expected right off so you can work on all aspects while you wait.. Goodluck!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
