I'm having surgery with Dr. Roslin in New York. Does anyone know anything about him or was he your surgeon. I'm just trying to be well informed about everything.

Arrogant he is. I was just worried that he didnt care enough because during our visits (which last all of 2 minutes)he seems to be preoccupied...answering his cell phone or reading text or emails on his cell phone. I just want him to care a little about me....this worries me

I would agree that Roslin can be less than warm and fuzzy, but I could not be more pleased with the results of my surgery. My experience in general is that surgeons are not known for the wonderful bedside manner. As a doctor friend (non-surgeon) once told me -- "there is a reason they cut people up for a living."

Having said that, I think Roslin knows what he is doing and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Dr. Yatco is in the same surgical group, also a very good surgeon, but much better with the bedside manner. I pays attention and listens. I never felt rushed.

No complaints about Lennox Hill Hospital either. The care was very good.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
