Best value places to get Surgery in US?

Recommended Posts

I just had my sleeve done March 1st, and I'm so glad I did. I was fortunate that insurance picked up the majority of the cost. However I have a freind who will be self paying. Can anyone help us find her a budget freindly place to have hers done?

Is your friend wanting to stay in the US or willing to travel to Mexico? I went to Dr Aceves in Mexicali MX and the price was reasonable. Plus I felt safe. But, if your friend wants to stay in the US I am not able to help.

My cousin is having hers in Houston as self pay for 11,000. Dr. Robert Marvin. He did mine 11 months ago and is a awesome surgeon.

Their are some in the states down south, OK, TX, AR that are charging 9k-10k everything all inclusive. You really won't find anything less than that for the sleeve because the hospitals in the states charge the Dr's like 3000.00 or more for the stapler they use to close up the sleeve and RNY surgeries.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
