Need my sugar fix

Recommended Posts

I think that you shouldn't deprive yourself when you have a craving for sweets. Eat a couple of Oreo Cookies. Just buy the small size in the convenient store or something and eat two or three. I bet you will be satisfied with just that and the calories, carbs and fats won't be too bad with a serving size. If I don't satisfy my craving when I have one, I end up going way over board when I finally do eat something good. It is so much easier to eat a little bit with the sleeve. You are doing a GREAT job by the way. Go ahead and allow yourself a treat from time to time.

SF Popsicles are great. They are super low calorie. SF fudesicles were my life saver in the beginning.

Now I really like Jello Mouse in the chocolate Mint.

I didn't have much of a sweet tooth pre-op, AND I didn't really like chocolate. But now I do get a sweet craving every now and then, it's weird. And what do I satisfy it with? One small square of very dark chocolate. :D Weird, but it seems to do the trick.

I too have experienced this...and it's very frequent lately. I've spoken with my trainer about it, and he's thinking that because I'm working out so hard (weights) my body is demanding refinded sugars (carbs). So, for the last 30 days, I'll eat a square or 2 of dark chocolate, or suck on a Jolly Rancher candy, daily. It's not effected my weight in the least....I'm at goal. Your body is trying to tell you something. It's missing something it needs.....just my 2 cents.

If I need something sweet, I usually go for a piece of whole wheat bread with about a teaspoon of Nutella. Great stuff, it always relieves my chocolate cravings and I don't feel guilty afterwards (:

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
