I'm 50 and I have 50 days Til my surgery! Looking forward to the first 50 lbs coming off and hoping not to get wrinkles! Yeah 50 ' date=' woo hoo!!![/quote']

Well good luck to you

Surgery was 9/10. Came home today. Feeling pretty bloated' date=' I am retaining fluids. No nausea, vomiting, weakness or dizziness. My surgeon found a hiatal hernia and fixed it. I am grateful he saw it and hopefully I will never have trouble from it again. I never dreamed that I would have a hernia! It just makes it a little difficult to get a deep breath. I am working on the drinking, sipping. You know, it's not that easy to do. I do get air, I just have to burp it. So far, so good. will keep you'll posted.[/quote']

Way to go. That bloat will dissipate over a few days and then the way down starts! Keep sipping, sipping, sipping!

That's awesome!!!!!

Yeah ladies in the 50 range!!! I am so excited we are changing to insurance that will do WLS!! Whoot whoot! I had a lapband in 2006 and had many problems with gastritis. They say it was one of the first bands and many had the same issues. So I was filled and unfilled... not fun ... but I still managed to lose 80 lbs and about 70% of my weight.... until it slipped and had to be removed.... that was almost 2 years ago and I have regained all of that weight back and gained many extra health issues. So NOW... I will be able to do the SLEEVE! I am so hopeful as the health issues mount and I want to ENJOY life! I have to wait till January when the new insurance starts, but I am trying to get it all set up now! I want so much to be successful with VSG!!!!! So unfair that the band failed me!!!! I felt like such a failure but I know it was IT and not me... so excited! I hope to be very very successful and have a true LITTLE black dress!!

Well I'm happy for you!!! Good-luck. ????

54 years sleeved aug 5 th down 55 lbs includes pre op 30 lbs post op kinda in a stall this wk and a little tired but doing great over all

That is all fantastic news. Today was my day 5 post op. I am feeling better every day. Still pretty bloated, getting my protein and fluids in. No nausea, vomiting or weakness. Still have the stabbing pain to the one incision, Tordol takes care of it pretty good. I am very leary about getting on the scale. I don't think I will until this next Thurs, that will be 1 week since I started taking in fluid by mouth.

I am happy to hear that most of you all are doing well.

Congratulations. I was sleeved August 1st. I'm down 42 lbs. Still having trouble with nausea and vomiting, but I did get to go to a conference the first week of September and enjoyed myself.

I'm 58 and started my 2 week liquid diet today. This is the year of me for a change and I am nervous and excited to get started.
