African American Sleevers

  • Popular Post

Hi All!

I wanted to start a thread for African-American sleevers (no worries I HEART all sleevers from the rainbow). I just thought, no scientific proof, that African-American sleevers may respond to the surgery different than our lovely non-African American sleeved sisters and brothers. I wanted to know if we had the same skin issue, hair problems, and other surgery related issues. Also, how to deal with the culture shock. African-American "soul food" may be something of the past... or not. So I was just looking for a space to voice culture related issues and concens.

PS- I TRULY  ALL SLEEVERS.

I'm so ready to hit the pool and start really working out,Dr told me I can start swimming next week. I'm really thinking about training for a fun run( and I hate running). Any of you tried a fun run or one of the mud courses?

Go for it! I've done The Survival Race and The Patriot Games...had a great time. The mud is truly ridiculous, but my skin looked amazing after I got clean lol. I am pre-op, so I am looking forward to improving my speed when I tackle these events after weight loss.

@@transformation14 it is normal to struggle to get liquids, protein or anything in the beginning. My only suggestions are to get a camelback and continue to sip. It will get better day-by-day.
