I'm natural also have been for several year although, I do color my hair .Actually it is time to be redone and I'm scared can't risk it falling all out!

I've been natural for about 7 years with the exception of color as well, I'm 9 months out and so far no Hair loss. It's a little bit thinner, but only noticeable to me and my stylist. I have PCOS, so I was scared to use Biotin since it can make facial hair worse. Not sure if this helped or not, but I held out on getting a silk press until I was months out just because I wanted to put the least stress as possible on my hair.

That gets better at least it did for me. I was cold the first 6 months. I am colder now than I was being larger but I am not freezing cold all the time. Part of that being cold like that is just because of the low amount of calories you are consuming. When you can eat more you aren't as cold. Just prepare for a cold cold winter.

Hello everyone , I am AA women living in Midwest . I'm having my sergury at NW w Dr Nagle.

I met with the ANP today and found out the process takes 6 months and I will only loss 60% of my weight which is 60lbs .Yup ????I was hoping for at least 80 -100 lbs she said with diet and exercise I can lose more weight.

I'm 54yrs old weigh 260 lbs I have Hypothyroidism , Back pain. But to go though all of this and only get down to 200lbs , I don't know , it's seems like it's not worth it. I m not going to give up. So am going to try and lose a little weight before my sergury , I have 5 month so hopefully I can lose 10-15lbs . lbs. I am very unhappy with my body I carry most of weight in my breast , stomach and arms .

I wont be discourage .

Take care .

I had a little GERD the first 9 months if I didn't take my medicine and over ate. I don't have those issues now and I take no meds at 15 motnhs.

60% is their estimate. You can exceed that 60%, if you work hard. You can lose 60% just with the sleeve and minimal effort but if you want to exceed it, you have to make life long changes and stick to them.

Northwestern has amazing results. You will lose a lot of weight in just the 6 month program. Most of the people that I have seen on forums that go through NW, get to 100% easily.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
