African American Sleevers
I'm almost three months out and my annoyances are the constipation (OMG) and feeling painfully cold

African American Sleevers
I get terrible acid reflux when I eat spicy food. Think of fire breathing! It's worse acid reflux than I had previously. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Six weeks out from surgery with limited weight loss. Ugh!
If it helps, we started around the same weight. I was 363 on day of surgery and since surgery about 6 weeks ago I have lost 29.4 pounds. If your weight loss is out of the ordinary, then I should be worried too.

Locs/ dreadlocks/ dreads
I have new sisterlocs as of February. I wish I had known about the risk of losing hair prior to getting them installed. My surgery was August 3. After I found out about the possibility of hair loss, I googled. I found a few places where people mentioned losing whole sisterlocs and traditional locs. There is at least one youtuber who documented her loss of sisterlocs and decided to cut them all off due to the bald spots/short hair Patches. Let's hope this doesn't happen to us!

Multivitamin
I'm taking the Celebrate multivitamin and calcium chewables. The calcium chewable is like a jolly rancher and is fine. The multivitamin makes me sick to my stomach and tastes very disgusting. I can only tolerate the multivitamin if I take it with food. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Ate too fast... Lesson learned
i haven't tried scrambled but i have done boiled and omelet. The omelet (2 eggs and accidentally too much cheese) was good but I had too much and had to wait for the overstuffed feeling to past. I haven't tried scrambled.

Weight loss
Maybe the people who have lost 50/60 lbs in 2 months are starting from a very high weight or had very high levels of Water retention. I lost a lot the first few days of the pre-op diet. It is amazing how much water my body was holding onto.

African American Sleevers
Sigh. I will remain hopeful that I am the exception, but I will take a thin body over hair and money any day! By the way, I read your status update in the other thread, and you're amazing! I hope I am as successful.

African American Sleevers
I hope I don't lose any hair because I installed expensive sisterlocks in February. But I am prepared with a wig already. Good luck with your surgery!

African American Sleevers
hey there! I am feeling great. Yesterday I met my protein goal for the first time after finally finding protein that doesn't taste so bad. I haven't met my fluid goal yet, but I am working on it. I mainly haven't met the fluid goal because I forget to drink throughout the entire day. How is your journey going?

Did anyone NOT have a miserable recovery?
the first couple hours after surgery were pure hell and i vowed to never do surgery again. after the painkillers kicked in and the nausea went away, i was good and have been good since. just some general discomfort and fatigue the few first days. i am struggling more with living on disgusting protein drinks than the surgery itself.

Premium protein drinks
try syntax nectar especially fuzzy navel flavor. it is so much better than the milkshake kind of Protein shakes.

How much did you lose the first week
I've lost about 13 pounds. I wonder if the number will go down after my time of the month ends.
