Hello all I was sleeved August 2013 feeling great my starting weight was 223lbs current weight 143lbs my goal weight is 138 lbs so I'm almost there the only problem that I'm having is Hair loss any body know of anything I can take/do for this I do take a multi Vitamin and recently start taking a prenatal Vitamins even though I'm not pregnant just don't know what else I can do for hair loss HELP PLEASE LOL!

I asked tho same question about a week ago! I was told Biotin helps. A friend of mine also started using a Shampoo and conditioner called CLEAR which I'm also going to try as I heard Biotin will make you hairy....everywhere. I think I'm going to do both for now as my hair is shedding.

You're too early in the process to be too concerned about the scale. Even though you can't help but weigh yourself, you've got to remember not only did you have weight loss surgery, but you had surgery period! Your body is going through a period of the inflammatory process and healing. I'm not sure about the hunger aspect because I honestly have not experienced hunger since my surgery. I know I need to eat, but I haven't been hungry since October. What I will say is that you shouldn't be eating any regular food this early if doctor hasn't said it's ok. It seems a bit early. I don't remember having regular food for at least 3 weeks and most def no bread. Follow docs instructions because introducing regular food too early can cause problems and complications you don't want. You have fresh staples, sutures (depending on your surgeons preference) in your stomach girl!! And too just because something goes down well the first time doesn't mean it will the next time. There will be times later when your diet advances you will eat something you've eaten repeatedly and it just won't agree with you and it'll come back up or just plain won't "sit well" on your stomach. It's so hard to be patient in the beginning and you will still get on the scale and go WTF?, but the loss will come :)

Thanks so much for the works of inspiration. Now im 3 weeks out & still not losing, is it still to soon. :-)

Glad to see a thread for the AA sleeve community. I was sleeved 3/26/14. HW 360 SW 350 Cw 325. So far I have no regrets for taking the life change on. I look forward to what the future holds. Oh wait, the other day I had my first near death experience. I ate my Breakfast (egg whites and ground turkey) then I drank Water right after and left home for school. Well I had to pull over and pray the pain would stop, lol. My chest was so tight, listen I learned my lesson and it wont happen again. Any fun stories out there

Yesterday i licked some frosting residue of my finger & almost pasted out. I was heaving up water. Ughhh Annamae don't ever want any cake lol

Hi Mz Nika,

Welcome, and good luck with your surgery and new lifestyle!

Regarding finding topics you have been involved in... The only way I have been able to find threads I am on is through the app.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
