I have been lurking around these forums for a couple of months and realize that there are many who have the same surgery date I do. Today. I wanted to say good luck to all of you and I wish for an eventless recovery for us all. Welcome to the beginning of the rest of your life!

Yay for you! Tomorrow I am 3 wks out, am down 15 lbs and it's the best decision that I have ever made. I was worried about getting through all the Christmas dinners, but it was much easier than I thought. Can't wait to hear how you are doing!

Thanks everyone for the warm wishes. I am officially sleeved! Doc said mine was the easiest surgery he had preformed in a while. I don't have a drain, my incisions are not bothering me at all either. As a matter of fact, I don't really have any pain to speak of. Even the trapped gas wasn't bad. Of course, can't sleep in the hospital for all the noise, but I'm doing so well, they will do my leak test in just a few short hours and then send me home!

These forums have been a life saver with all the decisin making, support and encouragement. I will keep everyone updated periodically and maybe one day I will post before and after pics. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
