It was around January 15th of this year when I went to my first informational meeting about the sleeve. Since then I've been through all kinds of tests, physical and psychological, and waited patiently for things to fall into place.

Tomorrow is the day. At 6 a.m. I show up at the hospital, and at 7:45 a.m. they begin. I am excited, scared, nervous and happy all at once. At 5' 3.5" and 237 lbs. with multiple comorbidities I know I am doing the best thing for my health and for the rest of my life. The only worries I have are about complications from the surgery, so if y'all would pray for smooth sailing for me, I'd appreciate it.

Oh, and please move over, will you? You've got a wide load comin' atcha on that loser's bench!

Good luck tomorrow. I am so similar to you. When I started my journey back in February I was 232 and 5'4". I was sleeved on Dec 1st. On Christmas day I weighed 199. Woo Hoo. Suprisingly I was not as nervous knowing that I was doing the right thing. I have already resolved my diabetes and soon will see my PCP about discontinuing my cholestral medication. Welcome to the loser's bench....B)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
