So, I'm brand new to all of this, and I've got a couple of questions: 1) I live inRoswell, GA and I'm thinking I'll go to Emory. Has anyone been there for sleeving? Can anyone give me some advice? 2) Do you all get your energy back? I'm reading this stuff about trying to sip 600 calories a day-- and I gotta wonder. 3) How long was the wait between your decision to do this and your surgery? Thanks, everybody! Hello and congratulations on the decision you have made. I knowit is NOT an easy one but one that will change the rest of your life. I only recommend Dr. Paul Macik and he works out of Northside Atlanta or Johns Creek. He is the best and I can tell you he is well versed in fixing problems as well. I love him and WOULD NOT go anywhere else.

Yes I got my energy back and have more than I had at the age of 19 (don't tell anyone but I am 41 now.)

Sorry I hit post too soon. My wait was about a year in total because my insurace turned me down to start with. My husband was done in less than 6 months from start to surgery.

Hang in there and if you need anything let me know. It is a hard and frustrating walk but the results are worth it. I was a size 22 and felt awful and could hardly catch my breath at times. Now I am a size 6 to 8 and live life to the fullest. Each day is a new gift that gets better and better. I have tons of energy and my health is great.

I am one year out as of yeasterday (July 8th 2011was surgery) I am doing great and down 100 lbs. Yesit is well worth it.
