I have BCBS (Federal) of Georgia and I have to do a 3 month medically supervised diet. I am not sure if it is different because I am federal or because mine is through the state of Georgia.

-I am looking forward to not having asthma and sinus problems. I can't wait to be able to BREATH again! -I can't wait for people to not think I am my twin sisters mother! -I also can't wait to be the girl that can walk into a store and say I paid under $20 for my WHOLE outfit (including shoes.)

I am looking forward to learning everything that I can during this time. My perception of food is out of wack. I find myself thinking I rather starve than think about what I want to eat because I am extremely picky eater.

Really? I heard somewhere there is a $600 program fee that is out of pocket but I can't find that anywhere on the website. Is that true?

I am scheduled for my first appointment with a nutritionist at Emory Hospital in Atlanta for my insurance company 3 month supervised diet requirement. I wanted to know do I have to complete the 3 month diet first and then schedule an appointment with a surgeon and psychologist or can it be done at the same time?

I have BCBS Federal too but I am just getting started. Can you share your experience with the 3 month medical supervised diet. Did they prescribe diet shakes? If so, did BCBS cover the cost? What out of pocket cost have you paid so far? Thanks in advance.
