    New Food For Post Ops...

Please send me this list I just had sleeve converted to RNY on June 27th Brownlady30@yahoo.com
  2. Well My surgery is May 30th I don't know what time yet. I will call in on Thursday evening to get a time. I am so unprepared I have not packed my bag or finished cleaning my house. I will have family coming in that evening for a graduation party for my nephew on Saturday. So family will be staying at my house. This is a revision from the sleeve to rny due to a stricture and severe reflux. I am both excited and nervous. Bu I feel that we will all be okay. Good luck everyone.
  3. Has anyone tryed the Bikini ready Protein shakes? The carb count is low and I just got a good look at the label so is the protein it is only 10 grams of protein.

    HELP!

Thanks Mark I am going to try the squats with yoga ball, the curls and the glute bridges. I have never heard of those. Will try those in addition to the Zumba. Maybe even try the Brazilian Butt lift Asherje suggested. Thanks for the suggestion Asherje of the Brazilian Butt lift DVD I have heard it was good. I also heard from a lady in my hair salon that Phine Body by Phadra Parks was good for your butt as well. Trying to get ready for the summer. Lol

I totally understand. I glanced at my butt in the mirror. And yes it has fallen down on top of my thighs. I am working hard in the gym to lift it back up. Ugghhh.

    Exercise?

Walk, elliptical, bike and also weights alternating arms and legs every other day. Try to get to the gym 5 days a week before work. My goal is to also work in at least 1-2 Zumba classes in the evening after work. I am 13 lbs from goal and weight loss gets more challenging the closer you get to goal.

I have been concerned about my weight loss lately so I really took the time to examine myself yesterday. I was not happy with my weightloss. So I decided that walking in the evenings was not enough I need to step up my game. So I got up this morning at 4:15 am and got ready to go to the gym. I feel much better since I worked out at the gym on the treadmill with an incline for 30 minutes. I hope that 30-60 minutes of cardio will help me move from this stall. I have my 3 month follow-up with my surgeon in appro. 2 weeks. My goal is to be below 200lbs.

July Sleevers How R We Doing?

I was sleeved on 7/31. I am happy with my weightloss thus far although I would have liked to be in wonderland by now. My blood sugar is controlled by diet alone which I am totally thrilled about since I was on an insulin pump up until the night before surgery. Blood pressure is good. I have had two stalls so far. But I will conquer this slowly but surely.
  16. You look great. Keep up the good work. And a side note where did you find the hair product?
  17. I am also addicted. I quote things from the site all the time. And i also refer to the site regularly when I have had questions since my surgery. I LOVE this site it has been a LIFE saver since surgery.

Super Nurses With Sleeves (Support Group)

Hi My name Angela Cannady I am an LPN from Augusta GA I have been a nurse for 7 years. Medsurg with an emphasis on Diabetes and GI health. I just had my gastric sleeve surgery this past Tuesday July 31st. I was released from the hospital yesterday. I have had a challenging time with my protein as of yet. But I really focusing on my fluid intake. I am a type II diabetic prior to surgery I wore a insulin pump. I am currently not taking anything for my diabetes with close monitoring with my endocrinologist. My blood sugars have been from 82-112 without any interventions. I am still taking my Lortab elixar (uggh horribly nasty). I would love to be a part of this group I think thios is great because as nurses we tend to put others needs before our own and with this process we must take care of ourselves.
  19. I am scheduled for July 31st. I am scared, nervous but very excited. I am ready to start my new life of good health. I am ready to be without my insulin pump. I am ready to live life as I used to when I was not as heavy. I am not so afraid of the pain. I just want to be a sucess. I have the drive to do this and I have worked hard so far and have vowed to continue on this life long journey. On the countdown

Greek Yogurt And Sugar Free Pudding Snack

Wow I never thought of adding the Chia seeds to the greek yogurt or water. I may have to try that. The idea about the Crystal light to the greek yogurt is a great idea as well. I love the greek yogurt but not the plain so much but adding the crystal light to it should make it better. I have my surgery in just under 11 days so I am trying to get all the ideas I can get for post-op. Keep them coming.

  22. I am scheduled for my surgery on July 31st but I plan to take 2 weeks so 10 days as well. I also work at a desk, I was told that I could actually go back to work in a week if I felt up to it. I simply may be tired. I plan to take both weeks off and hope for the best. Good luck with your surgery. I know you are excited.
