Louisiana Sleevers??!

Recommended Posts

okay' date=' i am at a stall with my weight loss already for the past 3 days I have not lost anything is this normal? I am 3 weeks out today? anybody else experience this? I am getting frustrated please help me[/quote']

Have faith, beachlover, my stall hit me between weeks 2-3 as well. Just hang in there & continue to meet your Fluid, calorie, & Protein levels & the scale will start moving again soon. I tried to focus on the fact that I could feel the difference in my clothes & just in my general well-being so in spite of the scale's lack of cooperation, I KNEW something good was happening!!

I'm doing great. I haven't had any problems with eggs, but I use eggbeaters, not real eggs. I do find beef "heavy" and stick to chicken & fish mostly. Other than that, I'm feeling fantastic.

I was put on "regular" foods today, I am 4 weeks out and down 24 lbs. Only 2.8 more to go to be under 300. I will NEVER see another 3 in front of my weight!!!! I have also been able to tolerate eggs. I have noticed that it takes me a little more to be full than what I hear people talk about. Tonite I ate a turkey, cheese, "foldover" sandwich and could eat the whole half with a couple of crackers. Thats seems to be alot doesn't it? But all I had to eat today was a slimfast shake and 3 oz of tunafish. and I exercised 45 mins in the pool. so maybe my stomach was just extremely empty. H

Congrats on the loss!! Doesn't it feel Wonderful! I have not eaten any bread or crackers yet...I'm just having a time getting my protien and Water in. I find that if I eat seafood..shrimp, crawfish, especially crab I can eat a lot more than say chicken or beef...it just seems to go down easier for me...or it could just be the Cajun in me...lol I also read your post above about stalling in week three, I also stalled in week 3/4... But I just hung in there even though it was discouraging but now I'm feeling great and loosing each week! Keep up the food work!

I just seen this thread and like a couple others I'm being sleeved by Dr. Borland in New Iberia on July 25! Only 20 days left, I'm so excited!!

I actually live in Ga but my bestie lives in Abbeville and will be taking care of me and I'll b stayin a month so I don't have to drive home and come back right away for my 1mo. Check up. Besides that's too much driving right after surgery anyway.

Does anybody who saw Dr. Chu remember if she did a cardiac clearance? And, if so, was it done in her office?

Dr. Chu patient here. I had to have an EKG. Went to the hospital (about block from her office) and had it done. It was all very easy!!!

Hey, Shannon! How much time did you take off from work, if you don't mind me asking?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
