I'm on the Road to Onederland!! Who's with me?

Good day!

I?m posting this in the ?success? forum because that?s exactly what I intend to do. BE A SUCCESS!

There are many stops along the way of success and for me; my biggest successful dream is to finally be back in onederland. Yes, even more than hitting my target weight. I have not seen a one in front of my weight since June of 1992. *WOW* ?that is such a long time ago!

I?m just going to give a brief history here. I used to be thin all through my high-school days, and I maintained my weight in an unhealthy manner of almost near starvation and incredible lengthy workouts.

I got married right at 21 years old and the weight piled on as I laxed a lot on my physical upkeep.

One day at the Dr.?s office I was informed that my blood pressure has been too high too many times, and was officially diagnosed with hypertension. I was given many medications and was required to see my PCP monthly until it was controlled. She also forced me on the scale, because I was always able to talk myself out of it before.

I weight? 315 LBS!!! OMG!!! Here?s the kicker. I?d been on a diet for about a month and lost a whole clothing size, which were size 28W bottoms and 3X tops. I was in 26W and still 3X tops at the time of my first official weigh-in. So I usually guesstimate my top weight at about 330 Lbs.

Well the whole hypertension thing scared me enough to trek on to diet harder. I ended up getting less than 300 Lbs to about 290. However I kept bouncing up and down from that ten pounds. It had been a year doing this when I finally decided I needed more help as I still had quite a bit to lose.

Long story short, I had WLS ? specifically the Lap-Band and was able to get myself down to 227.

I was so close to onederland, I could see it from the distance! I could smell it, it was so near!

Then problems arised and here I am today. Back up to the 280?s. I?m back to around the same weight I was at surgery. No worries though, I?m going to get a second chance and I absolutely will make this work!

So? ONEDERLAND HERE I COME!!

Anyone want to go along for the ride??? :confused1:

I am on that train with you! I only have 2.2 pounds to go and can't wait!

My hubby (who is a thin marathoner) sooo doesn't get it cus he tells me that 199 isn't really a suceess for someone who is 5'4". But the psycology of that number does wonders!

Well that's not very supportive at all... however, I'll leave it at that. 199 is a huge success in my world!!!! You can probably see the marker from where you're standing!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Labyrs here...

Whoo! Whoo!

Little Miss Diva you are such a wonder. You are already in Wonderland. Your onederland will come. I know it never comes as fast as we want, but you will arrive, no doubt. Thanks for your positive approach. A positive belief in self is a huge part of the success story. You go girl! :cheer2:

As for me, just 6 pounds to go to onederland. But then there will be another 40-50 after that. I think at this point, exercise is a key. I have noticed that those who are at goal or close exercise regularly. We have a huge tool in our weight loss task but we cannot ignore all the other tools in the box.

you're the best. :clap2:

Awww thanks Labrys for the encouragement! I really loved how you said I'm already in Wonderland -- because I really am. :-)

I hope you get to Onederland quick and effortless!! With the workouts you will, I know! I lose much slower when I'm not getting my physical activities in. I need to be sure to get my walk in today.

It took me almost 2 weeks to get that 2.2 pounds off, but I finally did it! This morning I am officially in onederland! 199.8. I was wicked excited!

My next goal is 190 which is when I will be halfway to goal.

My goal after that is 180 when I will weigh less than the 6 foot hubby.

After that, only 30 pounds to goal..

One step at a time - we can do it!

I want a seat on this train too! 25 lbs to go, but for the first time in my adult life I know I can do it! I had a scale victory today, I've lost 50 pounds! Woop woop, 50 pounds gone forever! :D

Hi Diva:

SIgn me up!! I wanna go to Onederland with you.

I want to be a ONE DIGIT SIZE (dare I dream of size 8??? That's a far cry from size 22), and with nothing bigger than a "1" as the first digit in my weight forever.

And, just to add to the challenge, I want to do this all in ONE year. Woo hoo!!! We've cast off anchor and are under sail.
