It's really happening! Surgery date sep 10

Recommended Posts

After months of research and doubts I finally got a date: SEP 10 with Dr. Cure in Barranquilla (Colombia). I am going alone since hubby has to stay with the kids. I fly back 4th day post-op so that is a little scary. Leaving my two babies behind for a whole 5 days is even scarier (silly me).

Now....................try explaining your 130lb boss that you need a week off for WLS :thumbup1:.

I have lost 7 lbs in the last two weeks which has been hard..............I've been hungry most of the time but at least my body will be better prepared for surgery. I still plan on having a BIG piece of cake at some point before surgery.

Overall I'm exited. I will probally miss eating large servings of the foods i like but once the smaller cloths in my closet (that i havent worn in years) start to fit nicely I will forget all about that stinking food.

Well, that's all for know. Thank you all for being part of this amazing sleeve family.

LOVE

Yay - You have A date. I also went alone. I didn't want to feel like I had to keep my husband company while I wasn't feeling well. The flight was ok, a bit cramped. I returned on the 4th day post op. Best wishes on the pre-op diet. It sound like you are already doing good.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
