Burps after eating...

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved on August 20th and never had any digestive issues or excess gas. But now, after eating anything I get horrible gas that comes up... And i am not talking about a little bit of gas, I burp over 15 times in like 5 minutes... Anyone have this happen?? Did it go away with time?

I am having that issue as well, though not quite as bad. My surgery was 8/5/10. Either I get the burps like you or the hiccups - both drive me crazy. Hopefully it will resolve itself with time.

Ever since I was able to start eating again, I hiccup. I have actually learned that is my bodies official notification that I have had enough and if I eat one more bite, I am going to be really uncomfortable. So, I listen to that warning.

yep, it did happen, you've got to eat slower, and take a walk after every meal.....drink lots of Water too, if you feel your stomach is bloated...but walking is the best way to get rid of those gases. goodluck

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
