I was wondering how long it took from the time your information was sent to your doctor of choice to approval & a surgery date? I've sent my medical history to the doctor & am waiting to hear back to see if I'm a candidate. Waiting is crazy, the more I read, the more I want to get the surgery booked & get on with my life! Any info?

I applied, got a call the same day, attended a seminar, and had a date for surgery 2 weeks later. . but then i was self pay

I am new here. I will finishing up all my classes, dr. visits etc. that are require by Aetna at the end of Sept. Does anyone know how long Aetna takes to give approval? I am so excited and READY to have this done!!

I have Aetna also and it only took one day for approval after I had finished the 3 month diet plan.

I have United Health Care and I was approved three days after UHC received the paperwork. However, I didn't find out until 5 days later when I get the approval letter.

The waiting was painful.

I, too , have Aetna and my paperwork was submitted on a Wednesday and I had approval by Friday morning. My surgery was 2 months later because of how busy my surgeon was.

BCBS ND approved in 3 days.

anthem blue cross denied, appealed, told after 3o days i couldn't appeal because i wasn't officially denied? (hmo confusion)then officially denied, then appealed again for an independent medical review which took 35 days, then surgery 2 weeks after being approved.
