I HIGHLY recommend the Bariatric program at GBMC (Greater Baltimore Medical Center). it is top notch with an amazing endowment. Dr. Moeinmolki is unbelievable. Please PM for additional info. I'd be happy to give you insight into all the programs in this area. I live in Takoma Park, MD and spent time researching/meeting/interviewing surgeons at Holy Cross Hospital (silver spring), Shady Grove Adventist (Rockville), Frederick Memorial (Frederick) and GBMC (Baltimore).

I feel your pain. I was feeling nauseous yesterday and then I developed a bad headache as well. It was so painfull. I really wanted to just eat something! I am still amazed that I was able to hold myself back. What day is your surgery? Mine is on 9/17

Hi OCGal. I am also a 9/17 sleever. The pre-op diet is working against me today. I was doing to well . . . .and then I started thinking about food! Such a big no-no. My mind is where the hunger is. I have to do 2 weeks of Medifast, which is 5 shakes and 1 "lean & green" meal. Thank heaven for the lean n' green. I have never been so happy to eat veggies in my life! Can you believe that 10days from now we will be on the table getting sleeved! Yippee.

I have United Health Care and I was approved three days after UHC received the paperwork. However, I didn't find out until 5 days later when I get the approval letter. The waiting was painful.
