  1. That is one of my "I'm full" ques. I get a hot flash and start sweating. I also get he hiccups too... I am not sure about the wine though....
  2. I had mine at Pine Creek. My insurance paid for mine. THANK GOODNESS!!! I did well the first day, the second day I got sick and had to take phenagren which knocked me for a loop. After that was out of my system, I had NO PROBLEMS!!!! I was in the hospital from 5 am until about 7 pm the next day. I was his only sleeve of the day and his first surgery. WALKING helps tremendously... Walk as much as you can and as soon as you can.... GOOD LUCK with everything!!!!
  3. I have an android and there is an app on the android market. There is a free one and 1 for 2 bucks.
  4. Dr. Hottie, I mean Dr. Barker did my surgery in August of 2010. No complaints here. The only thing I complain about is his small office and the wait time. I tell everyone to take a book or something to do while you wait.... I have lost 101 lbs!!!! I would recommend him to anyone!!!! LOVE Dr. Thompson too, he will do all your after care!!!! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.....
  5. I have one and use it daily. It is quick and easy for protein shakes... I took mine back and forth to work when I was on my pre op diet and liquids to whip stuff up...

  7. 101 lbs later I feel GREAT!!!! Today marks a HUGE accomplishment for me. I finally have lost 100 lbs plus 1. To celebrate, I went shopping at Old Navy. I bought a new swimsuit and blue jean shorts. Both items I would not have been caught dead in this time last year. This journey has been hard but well worth it. I would recommend the sleeve to anyone and everyone. I AM TRULY BLESSED and 101 lbs lighter!!!!! WU WHOOOOOO!!!!!!:Banane02:
  8. I know Dr. Hamm and Dr. Crebbins won't do revisions on someone else's work. A co worker who is having trouble with her band called them and they won't touch her. I think it is unfortunate but that is just my opinion.
  9. Dr. Barker was my surgeon and I was pleased with him. He has a very busy office by White Rock Lake. If you do a consult with him, take a book or something. You will be there a while....
  10. Thank you all!!! YES I have a neck and a collar bone!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!

  12. and down 95 lbs!!!! Went for my 8 month check up yesterday and everything is good. On another note, I work in a preschool and we get school pictures taken. We took pictures 2 weeks ago and I found one from 09 when I was at my largest. Oh the difference!!!!

  14. I had tests during surgery and early the morning after. I was not allowed anything until the early morning test came back clear.... I would def. get a second opinion...
  15. Sugar free popsicles were a saving grace for me on my liquid diet. Gives you something to chew and something sweet.
  16. I love making her 5 minute protein cakes. Quick, yummy, and satisfies the sweet tooth!!!!
  17. That is the big challenge for me too... I eat lunch at my desk as I work. I notice I eat slower and put my utensil down. I also eat while watching tv. I know you are not supposed to do that but it helps me and is a distraction from shoveling food into my mouth. Not the perfect method but it does help me....
  18. I hiccup, my nose runs, I get hot and I sweat.... Thank goodness I don't do it all at once. I guess my body chooses which one it wants to do!!!!
  19. I got a cute spring dress at Old Navy. I am a 16/18 and I got an extra large to work....
