Tomorrow I start my pre-op diet and will be sleeved in Houston, Texas by Dr. Garth Davis on August 17th.

I'm looking for support from those already on the losers bench or someone to chat with who is at the same stage of this wonderful journey. I have great support from my family but think a sleeve buddy would be fun!

Thanks everyone!:confused1:

Dear LovinLife

I am at the very beginning stages of this journey. I just attended the information session with Dr Davis and am now waiting for my consultation and insurance company decision. I see that your surgery date is quickly approaching, I am sure your nerves are crazy at this point but how exciting that you have made it this far. When did you begin your process? Have you had good experiences with The Davis Clinic so far? Wishing you the best of luck and am anxious to hear more about your surgery, recovery, results and such. :w00t: Beverly

This has been amazing journey, so far and my aim is to see it to completion.

You all rock! This time is very exciting. Also somewhat frustrating. I struggled with my preop and wanted a burger and diet coke very much! Hang on and know that after you heal you really will be able to eat any food, just in smaller quantities. Our surgery is the only one that really allows that. Hang in there and know that there are lots of us here who are cheering for you!

I got sleeved on Monday, 8/9 in Dallas Tx.

So far so good.. no pain.. but I can't drink much.. I fear not being able to get in all the protein.. I go to have my pump removed tomorrow and will ask the Dr. what to do. Ask anything.. I don't know much since I am so new but will share what I know..

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
