To weigh or not to weigh....that is the question!

Recommended Posts

I'm a recovering scale addict. I only allow myself once a month... it just makes me crazy if I do it daily, or even weekly. I wish I was one of those who can think logicvally around this issue.... some days its up.... some days its down.... but I'm just not. I let that number rule my world so about 2 months ago I went cold turkey... some days I white knuckle it...force myself to stay away from the scale at the gym... I had to take the batteries out of my home scale. All in all I think I'm saner on a day to day basis without it.

I weigh myself every morning on the WII. It tracks everything and it is amazing to see how often it changes even when you didn't expect it to!

I weigh myself with the Wii also. Is it in sync with your/doctors scale?

Thanks,

Janice

It is pretty close. I weigh myself in the morning after I shower and use the restroom. I am just in my underwear so very little to throw the weight off....LOL.

Usually doctors is in the afternoon and we all know there is a difference if the timing is off so I just deal with the few pounds.

:)

I weigh myself daily. You have to be comfortable with the idea of maybe gaining a pound for a day or two once in a while though (due to Water retention or constipation). If you are not, maybe you're better off doing it every couple of days.

Someone here mentioned she weighs every day and writes it down once a week on the same day. That sounded like a good plan to me. A little balance to level out the crazy! I thought I might try that after I get the sleeve.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
