  1. Hello, I was wondering if your Wii scale is in sync with your other scales? I have been weighing myself with my Wii scale but do not have another scale to compare it to. I do not go back to the doctor until November for an official weight. Thanks, Janice
  2. I weigh myself with the Wii also. Is it in sync with your/doctors scale? Thanks, Janice
  3. I threw my scale away and began weighing myself on the Wii as well. Is it pretty much in sync with your other scale or the doctor's scale?
  4. I had my surgery with Dr. Alanis on 09/20/10. I have no complaints. He is a great doctor with a great bedside manner. After care has been terrific.
  5. Tiff, I have experienced weird bouts of sneezing and itchy throat - but I contributed it to allergies. Maybe, it is a signal - as it normally happens after eating. Janice
  6. Hi Gayle, I had difficulty with the "overcooked" Pasta my doc said was okay to eat. It kind of just sat there in my throat. I did not feel nauseated or anything - just the feeling that you get when a capsule doesn't seem to go all the way down. I did not know if it was the pasta or the fact that I may have eaten too much or too fast. However, it stayed that way all night. Thanks for the post! Janice
  7. Tiff, Thank you for your reply! I am on mushies now - and the signal is still not really presenting its self. Last night I did go to sleep with the feeling that my food was not "down" all the way. However, I did not really contribute that as a full signal. After you said hiccups, I put two and two together. I will start measuring in order to ensure that I am not overeating. Thanks so much for your post! Janice
  8. Thank you Jordien! Your post did help. The problem is that I have never felt nausea after eating and I have never thrown up. However, I can definitely eat more than 1/4 cup of food. Maybe, I will have more restriction when I hit solids.. Thanks, Janice
  9. Hello VSG Family! I have a quick question. How does your stomach let you know that you've had enough to eat/drink? Do you feel pain, nausea, tightness...? I am definitely wanting to know. I am nearly 3 weeks out and I think I can eat more than other sleevers. I am losing weight - 20+lbs since surgery. Yesterday I had my 2 week check up and I told my doctor that I did not feel a lot of restriction, he did not have a lot to say. He looked at my weightloss, removed my stiches, asked how much I ate and said I am doing fine. Don't worry, I am not obsessed - as i know I am doing fine. I just want to know how to better listen to my sleeve. Thanks in advance for reading, Janice
  10. Well, I got the call a few minutes ago..... Insurance approved my surgery - so - I will have surgery on Monday!!(09/20)!!! I am sooooooo excited! Now I will just continue worrying about my pre-op bloodwork. I know I should not worry about it.. (Thanks for all of the feedback on this).. But, hey, I have to worry about something.. right???? Janice
  11. Thanks for the info Suzette. I am so glad everything is going as planned! I am in a dump today. I completed everything on the 3rd and have a surgery date for the 20th. However, I am still waiting on final insurance approval for the surgery. The doctor office seem pretty confident - however - I am worried because I did not lose weight during the 3month nutritional visits. Well, initially I lost a couple of pounds - but ended up gaining before it was all over. I think I gained 3-4lbs. I need to ask around and see if anyone else had this problem. Being hypothyroid doesn't help.... I am supposed to begin my liquid diet on Monday - but I am not at all motivated (because of insurance). I have called the insurance company everyday. Yesterday, they told me it was still pending and should be complete by Friday. I wonder if that is good or bad.... Anyways, I hope you all of the best with you surgery! Sept 16th!!! OMG!! that is in 3 days. Janice
  12. Hi Suzette, How did your blood work go? How is your surgery? Janice
  13. Hello, I am going to hospital to do pre-op bloodwork the Friday(09/17) before my surgery(Monday 09/20). What are they testing me for? I already did pre-op tests.. Exray, Endo, Blood.. a couple of months ago. I do not mind blood being drawn -I just do not want anything to push my date back.:huh0: I am also waiting on final approval from Aetna. The office staff is very confident that I will be approved. As you can see, they have already made arrangements with the hospital. However, like always.. I am totally worried that something will come up and stall things. Sorry for whining.. Janice :001_unsure:
  14. Anyone have surgery while being on Accutane? My doctor has okay'd it - but I am still a little worried...
  15. Okay, I spoke to the nurse at the clinic where I am having surgery. After consulting with the doctor - she told me that I can continue medication! I am so relieved! She said that after the surgery - I will not be able to swallow anything -so I will have to skip some doses.
