Hi everyone I get sleeved on August 30th. I'm really excited as things get close. My pre op appointments are on 8/26. I have an EGD on 8/17 and I start my liquid diet on 8/16. So the next few weeks will be busy for me. I told only a few people because I know how judgemental people can be. But the most important people know. I have prayed for a successful journey and I believe I will be a success.

My sleeve was on Aug 10th here in Dallas with Dr. Nick... Hanging in there with the clear liquids!

Good luck to all of the remaining August Sleevers! Thoughts, prayers and best wishes to all of you! Be confident in your decision and the gift you are giving yourselves.

I'm 4 days post op and I'm feeling stronger every day. Tonight I took my 11 year old school shopping at the mall. I gave her a 2 store limit but I can't even believe I'm able to do that yet! I bought a SilveRado charm Bracelet today and I'm going to add a charm for every 10 pounds lost. Looking forward to a full bracelet!

LovinLife - it is great to hear how good you are doing 4 days postop! Congratulations! The Bracelet idea is cool. A "journey" memory. I like it....

I hope you continue to feel well and get stronger!

Hello All, Thank you to everyone for the well wishes. I got back from Mexico today at 1am. I am feeling fine, just a little weak. Everything with the surgery went great. I had alot of gas and back pain. I was a total baby when I had to do the leak test! YUK! I also have post surgery depression. Some people get it from the anesthesia. I cry for no reason at all.:) But it should go away soon. My incisions look really good and it no longer hurts to drink Water. I'm trying hard to get in my fluids but its not easy.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
