I've found that I get totally smashed on one drink since I've been sleeved. I am not a drinker and I don't like that feeling. I can't even be sociable.

I thought we couldnt have no carbonated drinks????

That's a debatable issue ... some surgeons say no ... others say it's ok if there is no pain or issues.

I've been drinking diet sodas since 3 months out & have had no issues. Just have to watch the caffeine so I don't dehydrate.

Of course, listen to your surgeon and your plan.

Pour your beer over ice and sip it like any other liquid.< img src="https://s.bariatricpal.com/uploads/emoticons/default_cool.png" alt="B)" />

Aw, is it even worth it if you are drinking an MGD 64? That is the most watered down beer ever. :(

Bud Light tastes pretty good over ice.;) Can't guzzle like before, but one or two now and then hit the spot.

I've actually found very little problems with ANY amount of Fluid, as long as I don't drink too fast. Now, solids -- yeah, I fill up really fast and get stuck easy. But fluids? Even carbonated fluids? No problem.

That being said, Diet Coke is pretty much undrinkable (and it used to be just about my favorite) these days because of the acid, not the carbonation. It just kills me...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
