Goal at 8 months out!!!

Recommended Posts

Haven't had a chance to post in a while. Just thought I'd share my progress. I'm 5'6 starting weight was 250 and am now at goal at 143. Down from a size 22 to a 6-8 (depending on the brand). This was the best decision I've ever made. For those of you thinking about the surgery, it is a wonderful TOOL. I do work out 6 days a week but now i really look forward to that. I still try to really limit carbs because they settle very well for me. I probably will still try and loose another 5 pounds or so just to give myself some wiggle room. LOVE MY SLEEVE!!!!:lol0: Best wishes to all of you out there beginning your journey. It's soooo worth it!

Thank you for all of you veteran Sleevers for continuing to post your progress! Just 7 days away from my surgery and this REALLY helps calm my nerves reading these wonderful true life stories!

Congrats to all and see you on the other side soon!

I agree. Reading all of these stories about people who are so successful with this surgery also helps me remember that this is the right choice.

I think that as a lifelong obese person, I've grown so "used to" being fat that I may have almost forgotten that it's possible to feel differently!

I agree with the other posters. It's really comforting to know it's possible.

Wow! Congratulations you have worked hard and it has paid off. I think staying away from the carbs really speeds things up... that seems to be key with everyone who has been successful quickly. I need to keep reminding myself of this when it's my turn :) What kind of workouts do you do 6 days a week? Thanks for telling us about your progress!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
