First of all, welcome and congratulations on your surgery!

I live a bit too far west of you for face to face support ... but I'm willing to give a shot at answering any questions you have. And, there are lots of others who will do the same.

Can you tell us a little more about yourself? What foods are you eating now? How are you doing with all the changes?

Are you related to Monica Pierce, she said you were into Mini Cooper fanatic. I'm Joanne Babin. I had my surgery on Feb 24th with almost no problems. Had a tough time coming out of surgery, I was the first one in and last one out of recovery. The good thing about it was I don't remember a thing in recovery.

I'm eating most of the protiens I ate before surgery, the only thing I haven't tolerated is bacon. Got sick both time I ate it, so I guess it's a blessing since bacon isn't one of the best foods to be eating. I'm not having a problem eating, just finding different ways to prepare it.

I've lost 52 pounds and only one pant size. I know I need more exercise so I rescued a dog and she will get me going. She is a darling Shih Tzu named Bella. I'm going on vacation tomorrow down the Oregon Coast until Friday. If you are related to Monica, I might hook up with her in Fife at the Emerald Queen. She is going to see Randy Travis with Mike.

Thanks for emailing me, Joanne

Yep! That's me. Sounds like you are doing awesome - 52 is great! You will start noticing the sizes changing very soon now. Say hi to Monica.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
