Flonase or Nasonex anyone post-op

Quick note: they also make colloidal silver nasal spray. I tried it and it really dried things out for me.

That's great! Can you tell me what the brand name is on that? Do you have a link for purchase online?

Hmmmm....I looked around and couldn't find the bottle, but I'm pretty sure I got it at Whole Foods. Sorry I can't be more specific...

I take generic Allegra 180 and use the generic Flonase year round. I like the Netti pot, I use it occasionally too, when I think of it.

I agree with the netti pot or nasal rinse. The nasal rinse will move heavier mucus out but if you use the netti pot religiously it should work. They both come with packets of premade saline rinse. You can make your own but you have to be careful as to what salt you are using. DO NOT USE regular table salt it is bad for the nasal meninges. Here is a recipe for your own 1/2 tsp non iodized salt 1/2 tsp baking soda mix it with distilled or pre-boiled Water to make sure you do not give your self a Pseudomonas infection in the nose.

Thanks for the suggestion Lily. I've tried the netti pot. Unfortunately, I just can't do it. I almost drown myself, it's not pretty, it would be pretty hilarious if you were watching me on video.

No problemo thought I would share what I use. My sister uses flonase with her allergies as she has problems using the nasal rinser I got for her.

Hope you get some releif. Allergies can be a real pain.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
