Sleeve Tomorrow

Hi All,

I've been lurking for awhile and just wanted to say hello.

I'll officially join the ranks of sleevers tomorrow.

As a sufferer of fibro my surgeon thinks that the sleeve and weight loss could help alleviate a lot of the pain I have on a daily basis and prevent my weight from climbing which it has done steadily since my diagnosis.

I am super excited and can't wait.

Glad to hear that you are home...keep sipping walking burping...things will get better soon...this is the hard stuff but you will be so glad when you see the pounds just dropping of. Congratulations on joining the loser's bench!

So glad to hear that your surgery went well!:crying: I also have Fibromyalgia, and my doctor gave me the same advice. My surgery will be on April 13th. I am a little worried that surgery might cause me to have a "flare", but I am encouraged to hear how well you have done. Please continue to give updates on your recovery.

Take care!

Hi All,

I've begun to experience sharp pains on the right side under my rib cage. It feels similar to what one would experience after running. Is this still the gas?

Thanks!

Try to stretch your arms out above your head and also do walk as much as you can. If it's gas it should release. Hope you feel better shortly.

Sounds like gas to me. Welcome to the Loser's Bench. I too opted to come home after one night. I was so much more comfortable here at home. My son came home from NY for days 4-6 with me. It was quite funny... the olympics were on TV and I took up passing gas as my olympic sport. It was great the day I won the gold medal! :)

Hope the hurts pass soon. Keep us posted!

Istarted running a fever and my pulse spiked at 165 so I decided I better get checked out by the doc. Turns out that I have an intestinal c dif infection and am being admitted to the hospital for fluids and antibiotics. The sleeve site is in good shape but it is scary having an infection so close!

Hugapug I'm sending you a BIG HUG! Get well soon.

My daughter had c-dif after the birth of her baby. She couldn't breast feed because of the antibiotics.

Hugapug, I'm sure they'll take very good care of you. Rest and get well and make sure to please let us know how you're doing.

Hugapug, sorry to hear this. I'm so glad you got checked and it was found early on. Praying for you to have a speedy recovery.

Sorry Hugapug...but it's good that you know what the problem was and are being treated and when it's erradicated you'll be all the more healed and ready to move on with your new tummy. God speed in your healing and may he bless the life ahead of you.
