What are you supposed to wear the week of and after surgery? I am planning on being off of work the week of surgery and returning the next week. What in the world could I wear to work the week after surgery? Is this a strange question? Am I over-dramatizing once again?

I would love to know the answers myself. I've heard that we will be a bit bloated after the surgery. Hope my clothes fit me ok for work.

The only thing that I tried to wear soon after surgery, which was a problem, was a BRA. The underwire poked and was very uncomfortable, especially for the upper incision, where they put in the tool that holds up your liver during surgery. Other than that, if you have any loose fitting dresses, that might be helpful. You might be bloated, or not. But you will likely have lost a few pounds already... whatever your favorite pants were before the surgery, they will probably fit much nicer the week or two after... loosely. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure what your weather is like right now, but having had my surgery in the summer, I lived in dresses the first couple of weeks (but I've always been a dresses and skirts kind of girl). Clothes weren't really an issue though except for bras...I had a pain pump catheter in the first 5 days and the underwire just didn't seem to work, so I wore sport bras and was fine. Since this surgery was done lap (unlike my other surgery, which was an open procedure) I didn't really have to worry about panties or such irritating the incision. Maybe make sure to have some yoga type pants on hand if dresses aren't feasible at this time of year or your style. Depending where you work, you might get away with some dressier black yoga pants and sweaters??

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
