Getting Back on Track after Holidays!

Recommended Posts

Well, the reality is that eventually we will all be able to eat just about anything we want. The pouch stretches out. But, you can be successful regardless. Keep at it. You may be experiencing psychological cravings for carbs, I do. I think self-monitoring will be the determining factor of success over the long-haul.

Try getting support in a group setting if possible. If not, this is a good place and so is a web site called weightlossurgerychannel.com. You can watch videos from longterm successful WLS patients. The founder is 12 yrs post-op.

God bless you with persistence, perseverance and success.

My doc said at week 6 I'll be sitting at my favorite resturant savory a small portion of my favorite food...told him he was lying! lol. Right now (if my stomach would allow) I would totally eat a slice of fresh sunbeam bread with a thin layer of miracle whip, topped with manwich and a slice of cheese!!!!!!!!!!!! rofl--far cry for that bit of chicken I just tried to choke down and gave up on, lol. Or maybe one of those southwest eggrolls from chilis with avacodo ranch dressing... I should probably hush now.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
