Question to you all

I have had some minor complications, if you could even call them that. Mostly just my body and I learning to get along again in a different nutritional enviroment.

I would do it 100 times again. Honestly.

Would absolutely do it again. My first two months were hell - but I'd never want to go back to that kind of hopelessness and constant trying of the past. Happy I had it done, and have sent my brother & my best friend to Dr. Aceves.

I'm down 50 pounds and can focus on something besides my weight!

Hi bigdd,

I guess you are in Mexico having your surgery today. I am sending prayers and good wishes. I have surgery scheduled with Dr. Alvarez also on Dec 8th so I am really looking forward to hearing about your experience. Take Care.

Hi Lucygoose

Bigdd had surgery today at 9 a.m. and was back in the room by 10:10, he has pretty much slept the afternoon away but woke up around 4:30 -coherent. He says so far he is in no pain. The nurses are 100% nice. Tomorrow he is to get up and start walking. The Dr's and the Anestesiologist are also very nice - :)

That is awesome. Tell him hi for me, we PM'ed each other a lot when he was in his waffling stage a couple of weeks ago. I can't wait till it is my time next month.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
