Medication and Stress Echo Test

Recommended Posts

I am taking celebrex right now for agonizing pain in my foot. It keeps it under control really well. Problem is i have been instructed by my Doc to stop taking it 10 days before vsg and I have a stress echo scheduled for 4 days after I stop taking it.:biggrin0: I am afraid I'm just gonna wreck my feet running. Waht all is entailed in the stress echo? Have any of ya'll done this before? Thanks.

They can do the stress test in a way that doesn't involve running. I was given a choice and I chose the treadmill. If they don't give you a choice, then ask them. (Instead of the treadmill, they inject you with something.)

Yes, you may need to call and set up getting a nuclear stress test. My husband had this done and there is no running or walking involved. He says the feeling is kinda unpleasant though. They "stress" your body chemically. Actually, though, I had a regular stress test a few years ago and I did not have to run, just walk kinda rapidly.

I also had the nuclear stress echo. Because of major foot and knee issues I was unable to do the treadmill. With this you sit/recline on table and you are injected and the stress is induced. I have had both and this is MUCH easier. If doc doesn't suggest this definitely ask for it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
