GAS & Pain!! 1 week out

Recommended Posts

I find my gas pain is the worst when ive not eaten anything and especially in the mornings!

Sometimes its hard to button my pants bcuz my tummy is filled with this air.

Ive had gas ex and tums. I walk when ever possible i do arm and back stretches to aleviate the trapped gas beneath my rib cage.

Does anyone have any better solution to rid this once and for all? Or will this be a side effect im forced to live with??

My surgery was 2 weeks ago today. I did not really start to feel relief until day #9. That was my turning point. The pain started to subside, the nausea got better, and the gas started coming out. I actually think that the Gas-X made it worse! I feel better when I don't take it.

One thing that really helps is prilosec. It could be that you have some increased acid production. I crush it and dilute it with 1 oz Water and take it. It really does work.

Only thing to do is stay mobile as much as possible, use a heating pad for comfort and realize that this is temporary as uncomfortable as it is.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
