I made up with hubby and basically told him YOU are supposed to b my rock....and b understanding now more than ever...and he apologized and promised not to eat the Sonic chili dogs he had me bring him in front of me LOL. I am finally feeling what i hope is the last of the gas pains...it alternates between my shoulders..... but ive been walkin our lap track at work since everyone says walking helps. I had mashed potatoes last night and half a banana for bkfast. Thinkin Soup for dinner. I Very relieved about alot right now. Is there anyone in kentucky :)

It's like NA/AA (one day at a time), Life is still life and u will have ups and downs even with the band. I look to people like Mis73 and other's on this forum for inspiration.

Another guy pipes in. Yes, yu will ask "what the heck did I do?" Today I found out what I did and I'm happy joyous and excited that I am down 60 pounds since I started my walk down Bariatric Lane. It does get better, and as far as your husband goes. Give him a swift kick in the seat of the pants. He will figure it out! It's a guy thing! Best of luck on your journey.

I clicked "like" because you have just realized this is real! You are lucky to have the band and are on your journey. Its sounds like you feel like you are pedaling uphill in the wind. I'm sorry you have a @#@# for a hubby' date=' and it sounds like your momma is also sorry, and is overcompensating for him. Try to relax, keep your mind busy, and look forward to meeting your first goal. Also, remember all this crap I'm telling you, so you can repeat it back to me in a few weeks when I'm in your shoes. Soon you are goingvto srart feeling better than ever before, I'd like to say your clothes will fit better, but actually you will have to donate them and buy pretty new stuff. You are going to look and feel so much healthier! I bet you will even look forward to exercising! I live in sugarland and would love to meet up sometime. :) hang in there sweetie. .... good stuff just around the corner. Dont rush on the food though, you need to heal properly. Take care.[/quote']

RWsample: that was an inspiring and motivational msg. I was banded today and this is definitely a journey. I am in mission bend perhaps we can meet up some time.

RWSample. Im Female. Married. 2 children. I have a wealth of support. My husband has been amazing assisting me with all my needs. Poor thing he and my son has resulted to quick and easy eatable food. As soon as I'm able I will cook them a descent meal. Preop was Only difficult on day 2, probably because of the body adjusting. But I mastered it. I too just come back from vacation in Dominican Republic last week. I started my preop July 1 in hopes the insurance would pre approve me prior to the trip and would not have to wait. . They didn't so I continued preop through the trip. I didn't have shakes on the trip but ate Protein and veggies. I lost 16lbs.

Also I was covered by my husband insurance and a patient advocate has reached out to me through this journey, my primary care physician as well. But this site has been very very helpful.

Just yesterday I read a thread about a band w plication. Did a little research and asked my dr about it today and it was included. Basically it's like having the gastric sleeve but stitched to make the stomach smaller.

When is your band date?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
