Wednesday I am suppose to go in for a fill. I'm still on soft foods. My question is that for the most part I've been able to handle all the soft foods, I just noticed that I had a small problem with fish and then re-fried Beans once. I think I hate to much at one time or took to big of a bite I think. It felt like it was slowly going down my esophagus it was like I had to burp but if I did food would come up, but I never burped it went down. I am hungry most of the time though. So I was just wondering can you still get a fill if you've had trouble like that, but your still not staying full for 3 or 4 hrs? I just did not want to get a fill if it was going to cause more problems. My Dr. uses fluoroscope will that make a difference in determining whether or not I need a fill?

~~~Stephanie
Yes, you can still get a fill. Sometimes certain foods just tend to be more difficult. Sometimes we are simply not eating small enough bites or chewing enough. What you're experiencing is very normal.
Your doctor will know what's best, especially since he uses floro for his fills.
Best wishes :)
I agree with Missy, Stephanie.
I've had 4 fills in 8mths and still have to pay attention to bite size, chewing and speed. So easily we forget, or eat mindlessly.
I have found that certian foods are trouble some to me, like chicken. Either that or I haven't learn to eat it properly.
I have found that this whole process is a continuing learning process.
Wish my Dr did fills with fluro, wouldn't have to continually worry if I'm too tight or just stupid.lol
      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.
      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. ย Anyone out there have a similar experience?
      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿ˜ญ. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! ๐Ÿ˜ž
