I was band April 26th and had my first fill 1 week ago. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if it's what it means "bandster hell" when I just got a fill a wk ago and it doesn't feel tight or restriction... food goes down waay to easy and it scares me. I've been working out and since surgery I've lost 20 lbs but have only lost 2 lbs in the past 3 weeks. Is this normal? Cause I keep beating myself up thinking I'm not doing enough which is going by the rules

Yes Bandster Hell is real. Some of us need several fills before really noticing a difference. This is the time to be diligent in our efforts, learn the process, and make the changes we need to make for long term success. It is not always easy...but necessary to get us to where we want to go.

Bandster hell is the time after being banded before having enough fills for adequate restriction to manage hunger. Typically, you are hungry, and doing your best to continue diet and portion compliance without the assistance of the band.

Typically it requires several fills before you will feel much difference in your degree of restriction.

Stay the course, and continue to comply with portion size and healthy food choices. You will see results.

Best wishes...

Hey I had surgery April 24th and had my first fill a little over a week ago. I'm going through the same thing. I notice a little but of a difference but its extremely difficult to just eat 2 oz of meat and 1/4 cup of veggies and I have to say I eat more than that and I haven't really lost much if any weight in the last 3 weeks either. I think it's going to take a few more fills, hang in there!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
