Dear Weight Loss Comrades:

I survived my LapBand surgery today and surprisingly, I feel great. I was really expecting to be in more pain than what I am.

Went in for the surgery at 6 a.m. Surgery performed 7:30 a.m. Discharged at 11 a.m.

The incisions are very tiny. With the exception of some really mild stomach discomfort (which is alleviated with my heated blanket), I feel great for having underwent surgery. Again, I was really expecting to be in a lot more pain than I am.

Haven't regretted anything. I already lost 14 pounds just from having been on the pre-op liquid diet.

This is so worth it!!!

WOW ! Awesome and congrats: ) keep the positive attitude - start walking immediately and measure how long you walk (2 minutes , 10 minutes - whatever it is) and add 30 seconds every day 7days a week. It will make a big BIG difference !

You are on your way!

Lee

I just had surgery today too. Not really in pain just soreness. Only pain I have is in my back and it's a muscle pain that I already had. I don't feel any of the gas pains really. Glad to hear you're doing so well.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
