So on 4/24/2013 i made my way down the hall to get ready for my surgery and in a blink of an eye it is now 12 days after.. despite the gas discomfort and discomfort i still have due to healing the Dr said that I'm healing wonderfully and am down 11 pounds since my pre admission testing... 12 days later i haven't had the feeling of why did i do this.. my whole experience has been excitement and patiently impatiently waiting for my date .... So i laid in bed last night and said.. just wow..and now what to myself as the excitement is still buzzing in my head.. but now not for my surgery to take place.. but for all the wonderful things that will come my way due this .. i am excited to see the changes in my life for the better... I know this will be a roller coaster ride of emotions as i never knew what it was like to be a size 12 ..and i anticipate on having that phantom tummy disease LOL but i hope on having a smooth ride while having the time of my life with this new me during it all.. Good luck to everyone in their journey!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
