Walk and swing your arms in circles while you do. You need to keep moving.

I agree with the other ladies, plus when you are sitting place your arms over your head and bend at the elbow to the other side of your body. Then take slow deep breaths in and it will help open up your diaphragm and relieve gas pains. Cheers to your recovery

Gas was the entire problem for me and it cleared up mostly on day 8 and was completely gone on day 9. I highly suspect the milk in the Protein shakes. Believe I stopped them on day 7 because it seemed to cause an instant reaction. Not ruling out coincidence, but like to throw it out there in case it helps someone.

I did start mushies early (day 7 same day I stopped the shakes). Started tuna and egg salad with club crackers. Probably not smart, but I sure feel better now and I simply couldn't take it anymore. With pre-op that was 3 weeks of liquids and was at the end of my rope.

I'm hours into my surgery, an left shoulder is what seems to b gassy. However now when I breath in, chest hurts? Like gas or air on my chest I suppose. Is that gas as well or chest pain I need to worried about? An call someone about immediately?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
