I was wondering had anyone experienced the hiccups after eating a meal? I received my second fill about 2 weeks ago and that's when it started.... should I be concerned? They hurt to the point where I don't want to eat :-(

Same here... usually I hiccup just once and it is my signal that I am full. Annoying, but a good reminder.

Agreed. When I hiccup..... I stop eating. Its my backup just incase I am eating for the wrong reasons.

Hiccups is my signal to stop eating. If I try to eat pass that, I feel a little pain. Now, after the 1st hiccup, I stop eating. Sometimes that is hard to do became the food taste so good. But, I got to listen to my band.

I had a fill 4 days ago and have just started doing that after eating in over 3 years. I'm starting over and that may be a good sign for me....Thanks for posting that!

The reality of a Hiccup, and sneezing is YES you've probably eaten enough for your Band BUT... what is occurring is your band or stomach is contacting the Diaphragm and that is what is causing it, most feels it's an inconvenience or use it as a "tell" for when they should stop. HOWEVER the diaphragm doesn't feel pain it refers pain, usually to the Left shoulder, caused from the Phrenic nerve. Simplified the Phrenic nerve controls breathing So if you develop breathing issues because of prolonged hiccups or sneezing TELL YOUR DOCTOR GET IT CHECKED

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
