Home vs. Work

Recommended Posts

Do any of you experience this? While I am home on the weekend or vacation, I tend to not be very hungry and eat less. However, when I'm at work, my body acts like its starving to death. Is it because I am burning more energy at work than at home? Just trying to understand. :)

I'm the same. Not sure if its because I'm bored to death with the work I'm doing sometimes and get the munchers just to stay awake or because I sleep in later on the weekends. I just try to keep drinking Water because I know I'm not hungry. On the weekends I can go practically all day on one small meal.

I'm not nervous about anything since I've been doing what I do for the past 9 years. I guess I'm more bored with what I'm doing than anything. My fill level is awesome and I drink so much Water that the restroom and I are best friends. LOL

I have the same issue. When I'm home my hubs reminds me when it's meal time. At work I could eat all day. I do think it is due to bordem sometimes. When I have a busy day at work I don't get hungry, but if things are quiet, I am starving.

That darn head hunger thing.

Depends on what you do for a living and how active you are at home?

My home activity varies depending on the amount of errands I have so I'm pretty busy. On days like today I'm not busy but relaxing and I'm just not hungry. Weird!

I'm the opposite. At work, I eat less and am satisfied. Once I get home, I want to eat everything in sight.

I'm the opposite.....when I am busy, occupied doing some event, like right now at work...the last thing on my mind is food....

As a matter of fact, aside from my Protein smoothie for Breakfast at 5 am, I have not eaten anything yet today....and best of all, I'm not hungry

or missing it.....( I think I did have a few Girl Scout cookies)

I will eat a good meal when I get home, not because I want to but because I know I need to.....but I won't be starving and the band won't let me be a pig......

Weekends are a different story...at least in the winter, a lot of sitting around and grazing...but when I graze I don't have meals so it all evens out... warm weather will be different,

plenty to do outside......

I get hungry at work. Stress causes it as well as my coworkers. Coworkers make me hungry?? Yep. Making popcorn, getting lunch at 11:30 (didn't think of food til I smelled theirs), someone's bday so there's cake, free sodas etc in break room, people "pushing" Girl Scout Cookies, it just goes on and on.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
