Home vs. Work
I'm the opposite. At work, I eat less and am satisfied. Once I get home, I want to eat everything in sight.

Timeline
I started the process May 2012 and had surgery December 2012. My insurance BCBS required documentation from my doctor. Who in turn wanted to do a sleep study, EDG, and other tests before writing the letter. Another insurance requirement was to see a phychologist. Needless to say all of those things took a while.

Looking for a Houston, texas group
I had surgery 12/12/12 and am down 37 lbs. I would like for it to be more but the doctor is fine with my progress. I have 8 cc's in my 14 cc band and feel that I'm really close to the green zone. I'm hoping to be there when I get my fill next Tuesday. I also just recently started exercising consistently so hopefully I will start losing a little faster.

Looking for a Houston, texas group
Dr. Reilly was my surgeon. I had the surgery at West Houston Hospital. Everyone there was very nice and helpful. They also have support group meetings at the hospital. The next one is Monday, March 11 at 6:30. At this meeting we will be covering the importance of protein and nutritional supplements and vitamins post weight loss sugery.

Fitbit
I love my fitbit. It seems to be pretty duriable too. I accidently washed and dried it over the weekend and it is still working.

7 months now
I'm still learning but a couple of things that have helped me is (1) pre-plan meals and snacks each day, (2) track what I eat, and (3) use small utensils. By pre-planning I know what I'm going to eat so I'm not fixated on trying to decide each meal. Tracking makes me second guess what I eat because it makes me aware of the calories/fat/carbs/protein in foods. Therefore, I'm more likely to choose an orange over junk food. Using smaller utensils (the ones from the baby section) ensures I'm taking smaller bites. Hopefully this makes sense and is helpful.

To Eat or Not?
My doctor instructed me not to eat 4 hours prior to a fill. However, you should double check with your doctor as they all have different instructions. Good luck!!

Thanks for the "Eat Slower" app reference. I haven't heard of it and will download now. I'm still eating way too fast.

Frustrated with weight loss
I know exactly how you feel. I was banded 12/12/12 and am only down 28 pounds. Monday (2/11/13) will be my third fill. Currently my 14 cc band has 6 cc's. I keep my portions to 1 cup which keeps me satisfied for a couple of hours. Also, I track my food/calorie intake. Hopefully we will both see results soon.

Headache help
Where did you find the adult version of Tylenol? I can't find it anywhere.

doctor Riley Houston Texas... true results
I originally went through True Results but my insurance wouldn't cover the surgery at their location so they set it up with Dr. Reilly and West Houston Hospital. They took care of everything and made the process very easy.

Itchy
The itching drove me crazy. It was almost worse than the gas pains.
