Protein Shake Preference/ Unjury??

Recommended Posts

I know this has been posted one too many times before this, but I am desperatly on the hunt for a Protein shake that fulfills my doctors requirements, tastes good, and has enough Protein to keep me satisfied. My doctor recommends I get Protein shakes that are 110 calories MAX, 3 grams of fat, and 4 carbs MAX. I tried the EAS advantEDGE Carb Control which I liked but it was 17 grams of protein and found myself starving afterwards. I'm taking any and all recommendations!

I've read a lot about Unjury... anyone tried it?

I am using the Syntrax Nectar chocolate truffle powder. I buy it from Amazon.com. A scoop has zero fats and zero carbs & zero sugars. It has 100 calories (powder alone) and 23 grams of Protein. I add this to a cup of skim fat free milk which adds 80 calories. I actually like it and it tastes like carnation instant Breakfast to me. I am on Day 12 of the pre-op diet so I have come to love this stuff!

I love unjury. I am over a year post op and I still have an Unjury chocolate Splendor shake every single morning for breakfast.

If you mix it with 1 cup of skim milk (which I do), it's 183 calories total.

The Unjury powder alone is:

100 calories

.5g of fat

4g of carbs

20g of Protein

Have you tried their chicken Soup flavored Protein Powder?

Unjury chocolate splendor is my all time fave, and Peanut Butter cookie, from Nashua. I mix my shakes with Almond milk, unsweetened. Same flavor only only 30 cals per cup for the milk and extra Calcium.< /p>

I tried many different Protein Shakes and the only ones I like.. (yes, I actually LIKE to drink them!) are Muscle Milk and Muscle Milk Lite. Hope you find something you LIKE! :)

Love choc splendor but it is expensive. I use body fortress Peanut Butter.

Much cheaper. I do not like chicken Soup from powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury i like Soup hot you can not make it hot cause i won't mix.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
