Any February 2013 Bandsters?

Are there any others set to get banded in February? My doctor's office called to tell me my insurance approved me & set my surgery date for the first! After going back & forth for a couple years & now just completing the 6 months (well technically 7 months) weight loss consultations, it's going to happen. I'm not so sure how to feel about it. Nervous? Excited? Worried? Happy? I thought I'd see if anyone else is getting ready for it all, & see how they're dealing with it. Input from veteran bandsters would be great too! :) Tips on what to expect, need, & advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm set for feb and I have all the worries excitment scared happy thought that you have. Good luck!

My husband is losing his mind. I just got home from work and he asked me if we were going out for sushi tonite. I reminded him that I started my pre-op diet and that I would go with him' date=' but would not be eating (trying to compromise). He then gets angry and says that just because I am changing my diet it shouldn't affect him and walks out the front door. Half an hour later he comes back home and doesn't say he is sorry, but instead decides to remind me that I am very lucky to have been approved for this surgery and I need to stick to the diet. He then tells me that I need to have more willpower and take this seriously.

I literally started laughing from the absurdity of the whole situation, which of course got him upset. I think that maybe he is a little stressed about all of this and does not know what to say or do. On one hand I think he has lost it, and on the other I know I need to try and help him express what he is really feeling about this.

Our families go through the stress and anxiety that we do. I have had the last seven months to digest and work through all of it, whereas he is just being hit with it now.[/quote']

From a man's point of view, he needs to relax, treat you nicer, and hurry up and get on board!!

Totally been doing good on this liquid fasting!! Day 4 done of 14... Keep on trucking!! Surgery is scheduled for the 11th!!

Hey me too, my date is the 11th. But today I am starving. How is your day 6 going? Just 9 more days...

My surgery is the 11th also!! Day 6 is going okay, its easier than the first couple days. I can tell you this is one of the hardest things I have ever done but we got this girl!! I just keep my focus on the reward in the end. Just think how skinny we are going to be- hard work and dedication! Good luck to you!! <3

Haven't been on ere in a while. Being banded on the 7th. Pretty excited. Protein shakes are nothing now. Usually not even hungry. I have to remind myself to drink it. Hope everyone is doing well.

Started my preop Optifast diet today. Surgery on the 19th. I will struggle the first few days, but won't cheat as my new life has begun! PS. I am hungry!!! :)
